About Me
Just a babe with a blade!
I have been volunteering for many years and at many ren faires in Michigan. I got my start at Silver Leaf 14 years ago. I was {and still am} Lady Sosafane McKnight, wife of Sir Killian McKnight of the Royal Guard. As time went on {and I got bored being a "Lady", I chose to be a Mercenary with the Blue Dragons. Learned much about sword fighting, which led me to learn "real" sword fighting, under the toolage of my hubby and friends. Once you play with real steel, there just isn't any turning back. After a while, it became most clear, that in my hearts of hearts, I am a real pirate {and have the parrots too, lol}. So Gracie O'Malley was born. She is so much fun! Then I picked up some fairy wings and a fairy Queen was hatched. Though she has no name yet, you can't miss those wings! And as it would have it, Soafane Slain was also born last summer at Holly, when my hubby and I were asked to join the "Outlanders", a mercenary group. Many people call me "Sybil" as I have so many personages inside me. Really all depends on who you will met and at what faire! I love to keep people on their toes!
Been married to my "rusty knight" for over 20 years and have 2 awesome teen daughters.
Music
Rock, from older rock to the new stuff. Rock on babes!
Movies
Any "renny" style movie does it for me. My fav older movie is "The Beast Master" and for more recent "King Arthur.
TV
Not too much of a TV hound, but I love to watch Lost, House and most any surreal stuff on VH1
Books
Oh, don't get me started, lol! I love to read and any book is faire game. My fav authors are Laurell K. Hamilton and Diana Gabaldon, with a bit of Nora Roberts and JD Robb thrown in.
Hobbies
Between caring for 1 dog, 2 cats and 6 topical birds, I am always thinking of ways to remodel this old house we live in.
Vices
My biggest vice would have to be my parrots! I have 6 of them, all spoiled rotten. See, I really am a pirate! Mr. Merlin Man would love to come to faire with me, someday!
